The truest expression of what words fail to capture often becomes love. Poetry lets you discover love in it, to also find poetry in love because some feelings aren’t meant to be written, they are to be felt, in between the lines, pauses, breaths, and silences. Poetry is soft, raw and luminous. We turn to poetry not to define love, but to honour its impossibility, to bow before the beauty that language can only chase but never quite touch. Love makes us realise that the world’s most profound truths rarely arrive as declarations.
Someone warned, don’t fall in love with poetry because it’ll keep you hooked.
What is poetry?
As a writer myself, poetry taps into the depths of the soul that words can’t explain or describe when spoken aloud; poetry allows you to express it.
A powerful form of expression that can tear you apart, make you scream, make you cry.
Poetry is a tsunami of emotions.
If you can interpret poetry correctly, you can read people as well.
My foolish heart sees poetry in the person I love.
It feels like music through his words.
Is it possible that I can stop myself from reading, loving, and feeling for him?
Even if it hurts, at least I’ll understand the true nature of poetry.
Poetry is a slow poison that consumes every part of you, turning you into an endgame.
When you see your wishlist and poetry in someone, what’s there to lose?
When you can be at your worst and still be loved and admired at your best.
Poetry captivates you with its magic.
You can’t stop feeling mesmerised and sensing that the world around you isn’t spinning.
I am possessive of my art, so let me be possessive over you, and I allow myself to live in vain forever, captivated by his love that I find poetic.
Conclusion
Ultimately, poetry embodies truth; it serves as a counterpoint to the misconceptions many hold about it. For those who truly appreciate the art, they may find beauty in the words that evoke deep emotional responses, creating pathways to understanding our own experiences and those of others. If we could collectively embrace the beauty of poetry, the raw, bleeding honesty it conveys, our lives would be richer, more profound. Perhaps with a deeper appreciation for art, we could foster a greater understanding of ourselves and the world, nurturing our souls in the process.
