We all have some words we want to convey to our younger selves. Some are worth making us smile by looking at the future while others will make us cry for our inability to do something.
If you ever get a chance to talk to your younger self, what would you say?
To,
My younger self
I still remember what I went through. All those sleepless nights, crying in bed with the pillow over my face so that no one ever hears me. The strong urge to get up and fight the battle circled inside me. The battle between choosing what I love and letting it go for the world that was apparently comprised of the people I knew. The battle between knowing what I want but unknown about the consequences.
You know it may seem hard to come out and do what you love but you should go the extra mile and choose your dreams over everything because this world is not as harsh as it seems, and your dreams are far more valuable than you think. A hand full of happiness will arrive at your doorstep, you just have to keep an eye and make the best of opportunities when it feels like the right time.
I am your reflection just better than that of the past. Believe me when I say that soon there will be people in your life who would love and support you, just like you are, Who would identify your fiery self hidden behind an innocent face.
There are going to be times when you would give your best smile and feel happy, truly happy. No more fake feelings, you won’t be hiding anymore, rather you would take courage in your decisions no matter how risky they are. Because one day you will truly realise that this life belongs to you and no one can take away your dream, let alone steal your spark.
All you have to do is keep going, these harsh times are going to change. They are going to test your limits and reward you accordingly.
Embrace those tears as they would flow like your passion and bring you out of every misery.
Make a promise to yourself to fight,
“Just one more day.”
From,
The only person who has lived you.
