I stand in front of a mirror today,

And all it could say came out in the form of tears,

Those tears so pure with pain,

Still gave a reason for me to change,

That’s the moment I say,

I will wait for another day,

A promise to myself,

As I walk by the beach barefoot,

Looking at the marks,

Which symbolises memories in a way,

Everything is lost, everyone is gone,

I look back to find happiness,

That I can’t hold anymore,

I decide to stop the journey,

But the wave of love washes over me,

I see a way forward,

A chance to love again,

I gather all my strength,

And take a step further,

For another day,

A promise to myself,

‘One more day…’

I cry in my bed,

In the very bed,

That I shared with my loved one,

Wanting to lose myself in those arms,

Those arms which cared for me,

Which made me happy,

Are not there anymore,

I cry for the warmth,

But in return receive silence,

That breaks my heart,

“Life can never be good”

A thought struck my mind,

I open my eyes to see the dead,

And find myself surrounded,

By the memories of love,

I decide to move on,

I decide to love someone,

With all the emptiness In my heart,

I bring love for others,

With hope as my only strength,

I wait for another day,

A promise to myself,

Life can change,

It will get better,

It has to get better,

I now move on to a place,

That welcomes me with open arms,

A place that lacks no happiness,

A smile that never fades,
